The phase 2 admission period is from February 2, 2021 to March 19, 2021. Departments/programs/graduate institutions that are not available in phase 1 admission will be open for applications for phase 2 admission. Admission quota for phase 1 Admission quota for phase 2 4. The applicants must qualify as international students pursuant to MOE Regulations Regarding “International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan.” 5. After November 19, 2020, incomplete applications, or applications with one of the following situations will be considered as invalid and will not be processed: Those who have not registered online or fail to complete the whole application. Those who have not paid the application fee. Those who have not uploaded all the documents will not be notified to make corrections after November 19, 2020. Applicants shall not request to re-upload documents or make corrections afterwards. Those who send the application to NCCU by post, but did not submit application online.
I. The matters are conducted pursuant to the National Chengchi University Short-Term Overseas Studies Subsidy Guidelines and the Implementation Details. II. Eligibility: 1. The applicant shall be a student officially enrolled in the National Chengchi University (hereafter referred to as the “NCCU”). 2. ROC nationals and applicants who have a registered address in the ROC shall have priority in the application for the subsidy. 3. The applicant's foreign language proficiency shall meet the National Chengchi University Language Requirements for Applying Short-Term Overseas Studies Subsidy. 4. Students with outstanding academic performance (undergraduate students’ average grade should rank within top 30% in class) are eligible to apply. 5. Only students who have been nominated by the Office of International Cooperation (hereafter referred to as the “OIC”) or their respective colleges or departments for the exchange program, or those who applied to overseas universities by themselves and have been granted the admission for Fall Semester 2020 (August 2020 to January 2021) may apply for the subsidy. III. Application Period: from April 21, 2020 to 5 pm, May 20, 2020. IV. Required Documents 1. The application form 2. Academic transcript(s) 3. The original and a photocopy of the letter of acceptance from the host university (The original copy will be returned to the student after review. Students who have not yet received the letter of acceptance shall print the admission list with the seal of the issuing office on the list as proof) 6. A valid foreign language proficiency certificate 7. Other documents beneficial for review V. Application Procedure: 1. Complete the application form. 2. Sign the form and submit the application form along with the required documents to the OIC, located on the 7th floor of the Administration Building, by 5pm, May 20, 2020. VI. Remarks: 1. Students applying for exchange to universities in Mainland China are not qualified to apply for the subsidy. 2. Proof of language ability: please submit relevant proficiency certificate of the language that will be used as medium of instruction in the host university. Additional proficiency certificate(s) for other languages can also be provided. 3. All applicants should submit the previous transcript up to Fall Semester 2019 (inclusive); Undergraduate applicants should also include the class ranking certificate up to Fall Semester 2019. 4. Students receiving the subsidy shall take and pass a minimum of six (6) credits each semester (or academic quarter) during the study aboard period. They shall still be enrolled in NCCU during that time and pay tuition to NCCU. 5. Procedures and regulations for course selection aboard and credit transfer can be found on the Office of Academic Affairs’ website. 1. International students who are registered as degree-seeking students at NCCU in spring 2020 are eligible to apply. The international students here refer to those who entered NCCU according to “NCCU Admission Guidelines for International Students”. (Exchange students, non-degree students and students with scholarships are excluded.) 2. Application deadline: Completed application must be received no later than March 16, 2020 (Monday). 3. Please follow the steps below to complete the application: Step 1: Submit the online application form (https://tinyurl.com/qkkcrbq) Step 2: Ask one of your NCCU teachers/professors to help complete the Recommendation Form and return it to OIC. The recommendation form will be emailed to the recommender by OIC (there will be a different deadline) Step 3: Email the following document(s) to OIC at firstname.lastname@example.org: (1) One copy of official transcript in Chinese (grades of fall 2019 included) *Please apply for an official transcript in Chinese (with grades of all the semesters) at the Registration Section and email OIC the scanned copy. No need to submit a hardcopy.
